IDSIA is awarded the influential Swiss ICT Award

The prize was accepted by Luca Maria Gambardella and Jürgen Schmidhuber during an official ceremony in Luzern, attended by more that 800 representatives of the Swiss academic and industrial world.
On the 15th of November 2016 the renowed Swiss ICT Special Award was awarded to IDSIA. The prize was attributed to IDSIA with the following motivation: "it represents one of the best research institutes at the international level in the field of bio-inspired artificial intelligence, and Swiss companies directly benefit from its achievements". The Swiss ICT is the largest Swiss organisation in the ICT sector and it supports more that 3'000 companies.
